I am requesting the information as a journalist wishing to see all of the records held by Louth Co Co in relation to LMFM (Radio) and also all of the records held by Louth Co Co in relation to my radio show The Michael Reade Show on LMFM from the date 12/05/2003 up to and including the date 07/12/2023.I am seeking this information in relation to a matter of significant public interest, as I am working on a story that centers on how Louth Co Co treats media requests, FOI Requests and if the council is as transparent as the public should expect a local authority to be. This in fact goes to the heart of democracy. I am making this request on foot of some very significant failings on the part of the council's handling of an FOI request, as decided by the Office of the Information Commissioner [Council Reference: FOI 46/2023]. The purpose of this request is to establish if those failings were down to incompetence on the part of Louth Co Co or if the council or its staff sought to undermine the process, despite its statutory obligations. My request applies to all departments.
