This request concerns the actual route flown by aircraft departing Runway 28R at Dublin Airport - particularly the early right-hand turn shortly after take-off - and whether this route aligns with the departure route assessed and approved in the 2007 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and granted planning permission by An Bord Pleanála (ABP Ref: PL06F.217429) The term "flight path" is not a defined legal or technical term in Irish aviation or planning law. Its use by daa conflates separate processes: - The Standard Instrument Departure (SID) is an Instrument Flight Procedure assessed for navigational safety by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA); - The route actually flown by aircraft, including turn points and headings, is what has environmental and planning significance - and what was subject to assessment in the planning process This request does not seek information about generic SID design or ICAO compliance. It seeks to understand: - Whether/when officials within the Department of Transport knew what route is actually being flown from Runway 28R; - Whether/when officials within the Department of Transport authorised that route; - Whether/when officials within the Department of Transport were aware that this route deviates from the one assessed and approved in the 2007 EIS Request:
