In accordance with Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act, Alcohol Action Ireland requests access to all communications where they relate to excise tax policy (electronic copies): 1. relating to the subject of ‘Budget 2024’ to and from the Department of Health in the time period Jan 2023 – Dec 2023 in relation to alcohol, tobacco and vaping. 2. between all drinks (alcoholic), tobacco and vaping industry bodies relating to the subject of ‘Budget 2024’ in the time period Jan 2023 – Dec 2023. 3. Internal ‘Budget 2024’ submission from DFIN officials to Minister for Finance in relation to alcohol, tobacco, vaping excise options. This includes all records and correspondence including briefing notes, minutes of meetings, letters, emails, consultations and any other documentation relating to this issue during the time period
