I wish to make the following request under the Access to Information on the Environment (AIE) Regulations: A breakdown (in excel format except for part 18 and 19) of each case of vegetation management (as part of channel and embankment maintenance) carried out by the OPW or by a contractor on behalf of the OPW to cover the period of 1 January 2018 to Present (27 October 2021), to include: 1. Date of works; 2. Name of River (or Scheme); 3. Location of works (Eircode where possible); 4. Area of vegetation removal in kilometres; 5. Name of company carrying out works (if not OPW); 6. Justification/reason for the works; 7. Equipment used to remove vegetation; 8. Cost of the works; 9. Does any the area fall within an SPA and/or SAC (y/n); 10. Does any the area fall within an SPA and/or SAC candidate site (y/n); 11. Does any of the proposed maintenance area sit adjacent or within the likely zone of impact of an SPA and/or SAC (y/n); 12. Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening carried out (y/n); 13. Full AA carried out (y/n); 14. EIA screening carried out (y/n); 15. Full EIA carried out (y/n); 16. Site inspection(s) carried out prior to granting application (y/n); 17. Site inspection(s) carried out after maintenance works (y/n); 18. Copies of any pre-work assessment on each case; 19. Copies of any post-work reports on each case; 20. For each case, was assessment (including AA screening, full AA, EIA screening or full EIA) published before the work took place? (y/n); 21. For each case, did public consultation take place before the works? (y/n). I wish to request the above information to be sent to me in electronic format (and in a searchable format where possible) within 20 working days as outlined by the statute. If my request is denied in whole or part I ask that you contact me at the earliest possible date to provide assistance to amend my request if necessary, and justify any deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the act.
