This is a freedom of information request in relation to yesterday’s application to the High Court under s.3A of the Communications (Retention of Data) Act 2011 (as amended) for the following records: 1. Any records relating to the assessment of necessity and proportionality carried out under s.3A(2). 2. The information on oath grounding the application under s.3A (3). 3. The correspondence from the Minister to the President of the High Court under s.3A (10) requesting that a relevant judge be designated, and any replying correspondence. 4. The order made under s.3A (5).
