In his opening statement to the Oireachtas Health Committee on 25 January 2023, Mr Fran Thompson, CIO, HSE stated that approval for the national Electronic Health Record Programme was deferred in 2019 until a review of the outcomes of the Children’s Health Ireland electronic health record was completed (see attached highlighted at pages 3 & 4).
