​I am writing to you to seek information and records from the 1st January 2020 up to the 31st December 2024, in tabular form, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act 2014, and the European Regulations (Access to Information on the Environment) 2007–2018 (AIE Regulations) Unless otherwise stated, this request relates the the period: Information and Records requested Dog Pound Intake, Results and Statistics For evert dog pound under the care of the Local Authority, on a yearly basis: * The total number of creatures taken in *The various catagories of creatures taken in * The number of creatures returned to owners * The number of creatures relocated (including transfers to welfare charities or organisations) * The number of creatures put down * The number of creatures who died in the care of the Authority (not including being put down) * The average and maximum length of stay * Breakdown according to age catagory (where it was recorded) and according to reason for intake (e.g. stray, seized, given up) * The pound welfare policies, standard operating procedures, or guidelines * The frequency of vet visits. * Records of disease outbreaks, injuries or animal/staff welfare incidents * The number of inspections of the pound made by the Local Authority or third parties. * Correspondance relating to the Dog Breeding Establishments Act 2010, the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013, or other related regulations. * The number of reports in which deficiences, remedial actions, or improvements needed or implements are recognised Under the AIE Regulation, I am seeking records relating to the environmental aspects of pound operations, including: *The waste management policy, including disposal of animal remains and vet waste * Biosecurity and disease control policy * Environmental assessments, reports or correspondance regarding pound facilities * Records of incidents or complaints relating to environmental impact Contracts, Procurement and Costs * Contracts, service level agreements or procurement records relating to dog pound operation by private contractors * Costs incurred by the Local Authority by operating or outsourcing dog pound services * Payments made to third party operators or welfare organisations Complaints, Enforcement and Oversight * Records or complaints received by the council and/or the pound regarding animal welfare * Records of enforcement, investigation or prosecution actions relating to dog pound operations.
