I wish to ascertain the following in relation to the R689, Fethard Road – see map attached. I am confining the information request here to a 500m section of road between Halfway House carpark marked A and the end point of the survey marked B and the ITM coordinates. 1) Details of all tests carried out on this section of road between the first of January 2011 and the 13th July 2012. 2) All reports generated on any tests conducted on the road to include any resurfacing of the road between 13th July 2012 and 3rd May 2013. 3) All reports generate to justify resurfacing of approximately 250m section of road to include all attendance on site of the Area Engineer, Works Overseer and any other road representative of South Tipperary County Council to justify the repairs to that section of road. 4) Details of all works done on the section of road to include the opening of water tables or drainage inlets between: a) 1st January 2012 and 13th July 2012 and b) 13th July and 5th May 2015. 5) The background to which a SCRIM test was carried out on this section of road in August 2011 and specifically: a) Who ordered this specialised SCRIM test on this localised section of the R689. b) Who, within Tipperary County Council analysed the results of this SCRIM test when received. c) Any reports generated following the SCRIM test results to justify the localised resurfacing works. There is clearly an overlap between this question and the resurfacing of the localised section of 250m of road. I need to understand what reports were generated justifying these remedial works.
