Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation Records in relation to the Office of the Ombudsman, and the Office of the Information Commissioner. I am not sure if this request would theoretically produce a lot of records or none. If the former, let me know, and I will see if we can narrow the scope. For now I wish to keep the scope as broad as possible. I am looking for any correspondences sent or received between your Department and either the Office of the Ombudsman, and separately, the Office of the Information Commissioner, since the start of 2016 that raises issues, questions, proposals, problems, concerns, or ideas for improvements or changes, about or around either the Ombudsman Act 1980 [or related legislation] and the Freedom of Information Act 2014 [or related legislation], or about the way the two Offices carry out their various administrative functions. If there were any face-to-face meetings on these topics between the respective Offices and your Department, I would also like any minutes of such meetings. For a little context and clarity, Mr Peter Tyndall issued a press release on 20 January 2020 suggesting improvements and changes to the Offices under his remit. He produced similar in the past when he first took up the post. It suggests that he makes similar representations and suggestions on an on-going basis and I assume he would carry out this activity, at least partially, in correspondences and possible meetings with the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform.
