The National Archives catalogue record No. OPW 3/1/2 is titled Drainage Reports .This section contains reports by engineers on seventy six proposed drainage schemes across Ireland. Report No. 3/1/2/40 is titled Funshinagh (Roscommon) M.B. Hewson January 1848. Unfortunately this report and the other seventy five reports have been missing from the National Archives since 1999. A request for assistance was made to the OPW archivist, to date a response has not been received. This is a request under the FOI act to get a copy of Funshinagh (Roscommon) M.B. Hewson January 1848 and any other mid nineteenth century drainage records in the Lough Funshinagh area the OPW may have. I wish to have the material in electronic form. If none are available I request to be allowed to view relevant records held at The OPW-Maynooth University Archive and Research Centre at Castletown
