In accordance with Section 7 of the above-mentioned Act, I wish to request the following records which I believe to be held by the Department of Education and skills ("the Department"): 1.Compensation claims by children or by parents or guardians on behalf of their children for incidents in national schools, and on or during school trips, for the years 2014, 2015, 2016. 2.Numbers of claims made against schools under the school’s insurance scheme, and number of claims made against the policy of insurance of schools. 3.Total cost, of pay-out in these instances per child as well as accumulative costs for pay-outs by school, by year for the years 2014, 2015, 2016.
