Any documents that explain the basis of these upgrading or outline or relate to whether these upgrading were just a simple matter of upgrading the officers after a given period of time or otherwise, or any documents that outline or relate to whether or not the officers in question needed to sit and pass an interview or any other competition or evaluation process before being upgraded? Any documents that outline or relate to the holding of and the results of any such interview, competition or evaluation process, including any documents that outline or relate to the number of officers who participated in any such interview, competition or evaluation process? 3. Any documents that outline or relate to whether or not the three officers in question had previously transferred into the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform from another Government Department or Office as Assistant Principal Officers Standard; and any documents that outline or relate to the basis on which these officers were upgraded, whether on the basis that they were performing the same functions and duties as their Assistant Principal Officer Higher Scale colleagues, or on some other basis? This to include any documents that relate to the assignment and performance of functions and the need to treat staff who perform the same duties and functions equally and fairly. 4. Any documents that relate to the salary paid to these officers including the authorisation to pay the extra salary (the difference in the amount paid between the Assistant Principal Officer Standard and the Assistant Principal Officer Higher), and any records relating to whether the extra salary was to be paid directly from Central Exchequer funds or was to be paid from the 1% PCW Allowance? 5. Any documents that contain information on any discussions undertaken or decisions taken on how such upgrades are allowed and operated, including any process of ‘Assimilation’ that is in place, and the basis on which they are to be paid, i.e. central exchequer funding or 1%PCW.
