A comprehensive list of the competencies, duties, responsibilities and demands placed on officers serving at the Assistant Principal Officer 1 grade and separately on officers serving at the Assistant Principal Officer 2 grade as defined and outlined by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform or its predecessors. 2. Confirmation as to whether or not in Departments where persons are employed both at the Assistant Principal Officer 1 grade and at the Assistant Principal Officer 2 grade, specific higher level duties must be assigned to officers at the Assistant Principal Officer 1 grade over and above those assigned to the officers at the Assistant Principal Officer 2 grade. If not the basis and justification for the differential in remuneration to officers who are assigned the exact same duties as each other, who are expected to carry out these duties to the exact same standard as each other and who are assessed on the exact same basis as each other, but who are paid a differential in salary of up to €7,006 per year. 3. Details of whether or not the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform is aware of any Government Department or Office where persons who are promoted directly from Higher Executive Officer to Assistant Principal Officer 1 or where persons having served as an Assistant Principal Officer 2 for a short period of time are promoted to Assistant Principal Officer 1 following a competitive process but are not assigned extra duties over and above those serving as an Assistant Principal Officer 2 in the same Government Department or Office.
