The formal concluding response from An Garda Síochána to the anonymous April 2014 letter from a Garda Reservist in the Western Region regarding the conduct of Mandatory Alcohol Checkpoints, which was sent to the Department of Justice in January 2015. The June 2016 correspondence from An Garda Síochána informing the Department that a national examination of MAT checkpoints was being undertaken in light of the issues raised in the 2015 examination of data in regard to MAT checkpoints in the Southern Region.
