We were wondering if the Department of Justice can provide the following information Our deadline for a response on the below is Saturday November 11th. • The number of US Soldiers who have been granted exemptions to carry weapons on-board inbound or outbound flights to Shannon Airport this year. • A statement as to why these exemptions were granted. • Additionally, can the Department confirm that all flights leaving Shannon with US troops on board carrying weapons were not in transit to a conflict zone or military base and were not involved in intelligence gathering missions. • Additionally can the Department confirm what protocols are in place at Shannon Airport to ensure that arriving and departing US military aircraft are not involved in intelligence gathering missions, are unarmed, not transporting ammunition and are not in transit to a warzone.
