Following suggestions from a Newstalk investigation in 2016 in relation to the Marriage Equality Referendum of people being registered to vote in two locations what, if any, steps were taken to ensure these rumours were false, was the register of electors cross-checked against the registers in other local authorities and,if so, how many people were removed from the register on foot of a dual registration?
