I would like to request all records, information and details held in the department in relation to the cost of transporting the Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, to Inis Meáin to visit Coláiste Naomh Eoin on September 5th via helicopter These to include, but not be limited to, the following: • The specific cost paid for the transport • Details of who travelled on the helicopter that day • Was it an official Defence Forces transport, or private hire? • Was public transport not considered for the short haul trip, and if not, why not? • If Defence Forces, how many personnel were assigned to the trip? • What were the wages and/or allowance costs for those personnel that day? • Details of any costs, if applicable, to any other staff that may have had to cover for the Defence Forces staff assigned to helicopter duty that day.
