According to the Freedom of Information Act 2014, I have the statutory right to obtain the reasons for decisions that affect me in matters involving any public body. I refer here to the rules section in the link below, bullet point 3. On that basis, I request to be informed of the reasons why point 5 was chosen as my proposed starting point given my 15 years of professional experience. https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/government_in_ireland/national_government/stand ards_and_accountability/freedom_of_information.html#l1f4da This information can be provided either by your department or the department of Housing, however I would kindly ask that this matter be addressed urgently. I have now been trying to obtain this information since March and I still have not received an answer. I have instead been told repeatedly that candidates typically start on point 1 and that a special case was made for me to start on point 5. The continuous repetition of this fact does not address the reasons why point 5 was chosen.
