Access to records relating to the proposed content production levy on streaming services (the so called Netflix levy) operating in Ireland, as recommended by the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Media. Specifically, I seek records detailing communications and interactions involving the Minister for Media, Patrick O'Donovan, and streaming service companies. Records of any ministerial submissions, internal memoranda, impact assessments, or legal advice prepared for or by the Minister concerning the levy. Any polling date prepared for the Minister - briefing notes, media briefings, or talking points prepared for the Minister concerning the content production levy on streaming services. Letters of correspondence from the film industry in Ireland to the Minister about the levy and its impact. The timeframe of this request is from January 23, 2024 to the present.
