Galway City Council

I would like to request the following under the Freedom of Information Act: 1. How many farmers have been prosecuted for pollution offences within the council area over each of the last five years? 2. An outline the details of each case – eg. farm enterprise type; pollution type, cause and scale; and resulting enforcement action or fine. 3. Were any repeat offenders over that five years – and if so, how many times was that individual prosecuted and what were the fines/punishment for each offence? 4. How many cases of pollution incidents originating from farms were ultimately not prosecuted? And for each of these cases, why was no further action taken?
