Prosecutions brought by the NPWS over the past ten years under the following sections of the Wildlife Act 1976: Sections 35(1)(c) and 35(6)(a) Wildlife Act 1976 regarding the use of a stuffed or artificial decoy in the form of a bird for the purpose of hunting any protected bird other than wild duck and wild geese; and Sections 35(1)(d) and 35(6)(a) regarding the use of an electrical or other instrument or appliance emitting or imitating birdcalls for the purpose of hunting a protected wild bird.
