Department of Culture, Communications and Sport As Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Mr. Dinny McGinley stated the following in a letter addressed to BioAtlantis on the 7th of November, 2013 "However, as you are aware, I approved the sale of the Udaras na Gaeltachta shares to Acadian Seaplants subject to a number of conditions being fulfilled. These conditions include the above named Irish customers of Arramara Teoranta being guaranteed supply of product on reasonable terms and conditions into the future" In a recent letter written to Mr. Dinny McGinley on 26th April, 2023, [A Company] requested that Mr. McGinley clarify the nature of the written commitments or assurances that he received regarding guaranteed supply of product, who provided them and for a copy of same. In this letter of reply on 10/05/2023, Mr. McGinley stated that "all relevant documentation to do with my responsibility as Minister of State is in the possession of the said Department. I am forwarding your letter to the Secretary General of that Department requesting that you be furnished with any documentation relating to your query". I request that you search the files referred to above by Mr. McGinley (specifically dealing with the sale of Arramara), for the following information: A copy of all assurances that were given in writing by údarás na Gaeltachta or another party (in either hard copy or electronic form) to Mr. Dinny McGinley (Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht) or the Department of the Gaeltacht, that allowed him to make assurances that specific customers of Arramara Teo would be guaranteed supply of product on reasonable terms and conditions into the future.
