1. RACO understands that there have been a number of boards convened and completed examining possible retention schemes for pilots of the Air Corps within the last number of years. 2. The FOI Act 2014 (11(c).3), states "there is a need to inform scrutiny, discussion, comment and review by the public of the activities of FOI bodies and facilitate more effective participation by the public in consulations relating to the role, responsibilities and performance of FOI bodies". 3. Therefore, as this matter directly affects its membership, RACO wishes to obtain copies under the a/m provisions of the Act, of any Board Reports that either the Department of Defence or the Defence Forces conducted on Retention Schemes for Pilot Officers of the Air Corps, within the last 3 years.
