Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration Records held by the Department in relation to the correspondence which would have passed between the Law Society of Ireland and the then Ministers for Justice John O'Donoghue TD and Michael McDowell TD, respectively, and/or the Department of Justice in 1997 and 2005 in relation to the promulgation of the below two statutory instruments, which created the Office of the Independent Adjudicator of the Law Society, by the Law Society of Ireland, under section 71 of the Solicitors Act 1954, instead of by the relevant Minister for Justice under section 15(1) of the Solicitors (Amendment) Act 1994: 1.
