Department of Transport all records concerning the appointment of Investigators by the Marine Casualty Investigation Board within the last 3 years. The records will include: 1.records of the individual applications to be appointed as investigators whether from panels maintained for that purpose or one-off or non-panel appointments. 2.records of the competencies of investigators as well as records of training and experience as marine casualty and marine incident investigators together with the records of their training by the MCIB or elsewhere post-appointment. 3.individual terms and conditions of appointment of investigators to any such panel or position together with the records specific to their appointment as investigators to any particular incident or casualty to which they were actually appointed. The records will disclose whether any persons appointed to the panel or appointed to investigate individual incidents or casualties were current or former employees of, or current or former contractors of, the Department of Transport, or employees or contractors of any bodies or agencies which come under the remit of the Department of Transport, or were seconded elsewhere from that department. The records will disclose any declared conflict of interest by the investigators. The records will disclose whether any investigators appointed by the MCIB, in any capacity, have a previous working relationship with any Board members of the MCIB.
