I am specifically seeking information regarding the operational status and management of pay-and- display parking machines in Galway City. 1 January 2023 to the date of this request: 1. A record or summary (e.g. spreadsheet, internal report or similar) showing: a. The number and locaƟons of machines marked “out of order” or made inaccessible (e.g. by bagging or signage) 2. Any finalised internal reports, assessments, briefing notes, or presentaƟons regarding: a. The status, maintenance or performance of pay-and-display parking machines b. Any consideraƟon of transiƟoning away from physical machines toward mobile/app-based parking payment systems 3. Records relaƟng to the decision or authorisaƟon to mark or bag pay-and-display machines as “out of order,” including: a. Internal communicaƟons (emails or memos) which clarify the reasoning for the decision b. ClarificaƟon of whether such machines are considered decommissioned, temporarily out of service, or otherwise reclassified internally c. Any policies or instrucƟons issued to staff or contractors in relaƟon to this 4. Records of expenditure or procurement limited to non-commercially sensiƟve informaƟon relaƟng to: a. The purchase or supply of covers, signage or equipment used to render parking machines inaccessible b. The cost of installaƟon or deployment of said items (Note: I am not requesting pricing breakdowns, supplier bids or other commercially sensitive material, only records that show whether such expenditure occurred and, if so, on what basis.)
