Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment

· In light of the discovery that wind turbines and several solar farms (solar farms are in the North) had to be turned off last year, I am seeking records of the Department plans as well as any action they have taken to increase the State’s electrical grid capacity from 2015-2021. · Can I have the records showing whether data centres are still using on-site fossil fuel-powered generators for all their electricity needs from 2018-2021? · Can I have the records detailing the number of on-site generators still in operation and their location? · Can the Department provide information on how it plans to provide capacity on the national grid for data centres over the next 10 years (including 2021) and when it expects it to be in place. - Copies of all correspondence, emails, texts, Microsoft Teams messages, etc, sent between the Department and the data centres in regards to energy needs and their use of on-site fossil fuel powered generators from 2014-now.
