I request the following information from Galway City Council, under the Freedom of Information (FoI) Act 2014, records all documentation regarding the €3.3 million in EU funding secured by Galway City Council to pilot a hydro turbine project on the city’s canals. 24.09.25 Focus the FOI is on environmental preconditions that had to be satisfied before funding was received as Lough Corrib and river are part of the Natura 2000 network. 26.09.25 amending FOI for documents to include Habitats Directive 92/43 EEC compliance appropriate assessment screening and also compliance with Water Framework Directive 2000/60 EC.
