TIMEFRAME: From (01 January 2021 - 21 June 2022) CATEGORY 1 1. Confirmation of which documents of a scientific nature were, in the context of section 12 of the Public Health (Alcohol) Act 2018 (the Act), reviewed and considered by the Department and/or the Minister for Health in the formulation of each "health warning", as defined in the draft regulations notified by the Department to the European Commission on 21st June 2022 pursuant to the TRIS notification procedure (the Draft Regulations), to include, in particular: a. all peer-reviewed scientific publications positively relied upon by the Department and/or the Minister for Health to inform the text of the Draft Regulations; b. all peer-reviewed scientific publications which were reviewed by the Department and identified as holding conclusions materially inconsistent/contradictory with the publications referred to at (a), above; c. confirmation of whether the Department itself procured any third party research on the formulation of the text to be used in each "health warning" and, if so, details of which third parties were engaged to do so and any expression(s), representation(s) and/or recorded word of the reasoning and/or basis for discounting the import of the publications referred to at (b), above.
