Under the Freedom of Information Act, 2014, I wish to request access to the most recent internal guidelines or policy document issued by your FOI body regarding 1. the use of messaging apps or platforms (such as, but not limited to, SMS text messages, MMS messages, WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, Snapchat, Instagram, Viber, WeChat, Hago, Messenger, BitMessage, Ring, Line, bulk SMS systems), or 2. the retention and archiving of messages sent using messaging platforms, or the transfer of such messages to a central repository with a view to ensuring compliance with FOI requests and data protection SARs. My request should be limited to cover the period from 1 January 2021 to date of request, and I will be satisfied if I receive the most recent guidance note / office notice / internal circular dealing with the use of messaging apps and the retention of all types of communications.
