Tipperary County Council 1. In your Local Authority's (LA) Water Services Department prior to the effective date where Uisce Eireann (UE) took over operational control of that section what was the staffing structure within that said section for both indoor staff and outdoor workers who were directly employed by your LA. I do not need to know the staff numbers involved but do require a list of the grades involved i.e. Outdoor workers an example of which could include, General Service Supervisors, Craftspeople (of various grades), Caretakers and General Operatives. Indoor staff which could include, Senior Engineers, Senior Executive Engineers, Executive Engineers etc. and including Administrative staff etc. Where a grade could have sub grades for example in the case of craftspeople where the term craftsperson could encompass Craftspeople, Foreman Craftspeople, Assistant Foreman Craftspeople or Senior Craftspeople etc. I would require these sub grades to be included. 2. Again pertaining to your LA's Water services section and the grades therein did Trade Unions make enquiries to your organisation for the purpose of the transition to UE in order to ascertain what grades your LA directly employed in its Water Services section, in particular I refer to Forsa, LAPO SIPTU, SIPTU and Connect. If enquiries were made for this purpose was information sought by the aforementioned Trade Unions regarding the day to day roles and duties of outdoor workers in particular in order to ensure that any roles to which they were to be mapped to within UE were in agreement with their day to day roles and responsibilities in addition to any extra duties outside of the strict remit of their contracts of employment and their stated grade. 3. In the circumstance where a grade within UE may not have existed within your LA how was or is it proposed to fill these roles for example were roles filled on the grounds of seniority or were they filled by interview or by confined interview.
