I am seeking all records and documents held by the Department of Justice relating to the actions under 6.2 of the Review of Policy Options for Prison and Penal Reform, specifically: The review and final report of all matters relating to length of imprisonment in cases of life sentences. The review and final report of Whole Life Order sentences for murder. The review and final report on sentence tariffs for minimum periods of imprisonment, and current access to parole. In particular, such records should include: -records of written correspondence between Ministers for Justice (including Acting Ministers) relating to these reviews, between August 2022 and 8 October 2024; -briefing notes or memos prepared for Ministers for Justice (including Acting Ministers) by the Department of Justice between August 2022 and 8 October 2024; -details of meetings between Ministers for Justice (including Acting Ministers) and the Department where any of these reviews featured as a topic between August 2022 and 8 October 2024.
