I would like to understand how enforcement of animal welfare is conducted by the Department please. For example and specifically for Equine welfare. 1) How many Equine inspections are conducted by officials and veterinary services in Ireland for the period 2021 and 2022? 2) How many of those inspections are conducted on sites where equine animals are kept. What number and percentage are for horses and what number and percentage is for donkeys and mules? 3) How many compliance notices are issued, what is the nature of those compliance issues? Typically how long would an 'offending' owner on average be given to comply and rectify any compliance issue? Also how long after a compliance order has been served and then expired is a follow up inspection carried out? Please provide information and data for all and every issued compliance order or sanction. 4) How many criminal actions arise from a failure of owners to comply with any compliance orders? 5) How many inspectors for horses and donkeys and mules are employed by the Department during 2021 and 2022?
