According to the Department of Agriculture Appropriation Account for 2021, the Department complied with the EU competitive process guidelines with the exception of 64 contracts totalling €3,787,740 (ex. VAT). Under the FOI Act 2014, I am seeking the following: • A copy of the ten contracts with a value of €711,749 which were previously awarded but exceeded the relevant thresholds for that competitive process. • A copy of the three contracts with a value of €454,945 which arose due to transitional delays in migrating to new service providers. • A copy of the fifteen contracts with a value of €117,149 which were for small non-competitive procurements, and which were not included in a previously approved compliant non-competitive process. • A copy of the thirty-one contracts with a value of €2,304,961 which arose due to delays in undertaking a competitive process, due to the highly technical nature of the items involved. • A copy of the contract with a value of €35,823 which arose where numerous small purchases when aggregated breached the procurement threshold. • A copy of the four contracts with a value of €163,113 which arose where approval was not sought prior to urgent non-competitive procurement of replacement veterinary services.
