(1) Records created between 27 June 2018 and 6 August 2020 relating to employment permits granted to seekers of international protection orders, or, in the alternative (a) the number of employment permits granted to asylum seekers in 2018, 2019 and to date in 2020 (b) the nationality of asylum seekers granted employment permits in 2018, 2019 and to date in 2020 (c) an analysis of working permit by sector, to include meat processing (d) an analysis of working permit by direct employment in a business and employment by an agency . For the period since the introduction of a scheme in June 2018 which allows asylum seekers to obtain a work permit after waiting more than nine months from their first asylum application, I am trying to find out how many permits were issued, for what nationalities and what sectors employ those with work permits. I am also interested to know if the meat processing sector employs a disproportionate number of asylum seekers and if they are employed directly by businesses or if they are employment by employment agencies acting on behalf of businesses.
