I am seeking access to any and all records held by the Department of Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform concerning the impact of short-term lets on rural tourism, including all documents relating to the observations referenced in media last week. (Planned ban on Airbnb-type lettings in rural communities prompts concern – The Irish Times) This request includes, but is not limited to: •I nternal reports, memos, policy documents or briefing notes. •C orrespondence between departmental officials and other departments, agencies, or external stakeholders. • Minutes or notes from meengs at which the impact of short-term lets on rural tourism was discussed. • Research, impact assessments, economic evaluaons, or other relevant analyses. • Dras of any documents related to the development of policy on short-term lets in the context of rural tourism. I would appreciate if the records could cover the period from 1 January 2025 to the present.
