Tipperary County Council I'm writing to formally request a written explanation regarding the responsibility for the installation of bollards on public footpaths within Tipperary county council during a recent meeting with mr. Barry Murphy chief engineer for the Tipperary county council I was informed that the installation of bollards would not be happening for one reason that the council wanted the public to be more aware of illegal parking which didn't make any sense Mr. Murphy went to say that in the future that the council would be making the footpaths more wider I tried my absolute best describing how this would not work as I all ready came across this problem Mr. Murphy failed to respond to this I had no choice but to leave the room because frankly I wasn't getting listened to and we weren't getting anywhere. The next day my mother rang the council again speaking to Mr. Murphy, and again he told her exactly what he told me. This is why I would like a written formal letter to me describing why the council Will not take action on this in addition under the freedom of information I would like the following 1 any internal communications Emails memos meetings notes etc involving mr. Murphy or relevant Council departments that discuss the installation of ballards illegal parking or pedestrian safety concerns 2 any policy documents or internal criteria used to determine when bollards are or are not installed Records of any public complaints or correspondence
