I would like to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2014 for records related to Meta's and Apple’s recent interactions with the Taoiseach and his advisers when it comes to EU legislation. I’m looking for emails, meetings, briefings, minutes of meetings or letters for the period 1 January 2025 to the present. I understand from the lobby register that there have been several exchanges with Meta Platforms Ireland to discuss the European Commission's investigation of Meta under the EU’s Digital Markets Act, as well as on the subject of personalised ads. I would like to obtain records on the personalised ads in particular. There are also lobby register records of Apple Distribution International's meetings with the Taoiseach's advisors on the EU’s simplification agenda and the implementation of EU legislation including the Digital Markets Act and the Audiovisual Media Services Directive.
