Galway City Council

1. Under the Inspection Report contained at Record No. 7.1 by Brian O'Connell, A/Assistant Engineer, he states "A levy was imposed under section 22 of the Derelict Sites Act commencing 01 January 2018...". At the bottom of this page, however, a handwritten note signed by Helen O'Connell and dated 19 February 2019, states "Hold imposing the levy as works have been substantially complied with". The handwritten note appears to overrule the recommendation of the A/Assistant Engineer in relation to the imposition of a levy under section 22. Please explain. 2. Can you confirm that since the inspection carried out by Galway City Council at the site in question on 22nd January 2018, no further work has been undertaken by the owners of this site as is suggested by the inspection reports provided.
