I wish to make a request under the Freedom of Information Acts 2014 about the roles and allowances of members of An Garda Síochána, and employees of other State agencies involved in criminal justice, assigned to work abroad in Irish embassies and international organisations. Specifically, I am seeking records relating to the following positions: · Garda personnel assigned to Irish Embassies and Garda Liaison Officers assigned to Europol, Interpol and MAOC (N). · Employees of the Revenue Commissioners assigned to Irish Embassies, Europol, MAOC (N) and any other international organisations involved in criminal justice. · Employees of the DPP and Chief State Solicitors Office assigned to Irish embassies, Eurojust and any other international organisations involved in criminal justice. · Seconded national experts based in Europol and Interpol I am seeking all records in respect of the aforementioned positions showing: (a) The job descriptions for each position. (b) Agreements entered into by the Department of Foreign Affairs with other jurisdictions relating to or covering these positions, including in particular references to the diplomatic status and roles of these positions. (c) The rates of each allowance paid to the post-holder concerned between 1996 (when the Europol Drugs Agency was established) and 1 January 2020, and every change in the rate of such allowance during the intervening years". (d) The purpose of each such allowance. (e) The basis upon which each allowance was set and reviewed plus the process used to set/review the allowances.
