Request Reference 24-0186 24-0189 Other I am requesting under the Freedom of Information Act 2014 all correspondence, documents, briefing Part-Granted notes, etc relating to the Minister for Finance's decision not to renew the copyright of the Irish national anthem "Amhrán na bhFiann" which lapsed in 2012. Reason: I am researching a peer- reviewed scholarly book on the Irish national anthem.
Requester Type Under the Freedom of Information Act, I wish to ask for the below records concerning changes to PRSA in the Finance Bill/Act 2022 which means employer contributions to PRSAs are no longer subject to BIK. Some within Revenue have raised concerns about the potential ramifications of the changes and taxation loopholes created. Time period: 1 May 2024-present. • Revenue chairman Niall Cody confirmed to the Oireachtas finance committee last month that he asked Revenue’s pension team to examine the data on what has happened since the legislative changes and held a meeting with them. “I would be concerned about some practices". Mr Cody said that concerns have since been shared with the Department of Finance. The Department has confirmed that it received a document/paper from Revenue in recent weeks. Please provide a copy of any records shared with the Department in this regard. • Please provide any subsequent internal Departmental records created following received of the records from Revenue, including: o Briefings, reports and/or memos for senior management and/or board level and/or ministerial level on the above; o Minutes of any meetings, briefings for the meetings; and any documents or presentations presented or shared during the meeting
