I request copies of Departmental / civil service records relating to Section 43 of the Postal & Telecommunications Services Bill 1983 which became Section 46 as the Bill was amended and progressed to enactment by the Oireachtas, specifically: 1. Records of the discussions on superannuation that took place: - At the Joint Working Group that was set up on 10 November 1981 and reported on 19 December 1983, and - At the Departmental Council before the adoption of Report No. 1635 (Establishment of State-Sponsored Bodies for the Postal and Telecommunications Services) on 30 December 1983. 2. Correspondence between the Dept of Posts & Telegraphs and the Dept of Finance surrounding proposals and agreement on the superannuation arrangements as published in above Sections of the Bill. 3. Copies of reports, letters, memos, representations, etc on contemporaneous information relating specifically to the superannuation arrangements for staff of the Dept of Posts & Telegraphs who were being transferred under above Act to An Post on 1st January 1984. Above to exclude copies of Departmental Council Report No. 1635 and Appendix I, II and III to the Report.
