I am seeking access under the Freedom of Information Act 2014 to records held by the Office of Public Works relating to expenditure incurred or committed in preparation for and delivery of Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, due to commence in July 2026. This request relates to records created or held from 1 January 2025 to the date of processing of this request. Specifically, I am seeking records relating to accommodation bookings for EU delegations or dignatories. This may include, but is not limited to hotels, short-term lets such as Airbnb or private accommodation. The records I am seeking may include, but are not limited to invoices, booking records, contracts, schedules, or internal expenditure summaries. If the processing of this request is likely to exceed the statutory cost limit, I am willing to accept, in lieu of the underlying records, a summary of expenditure broken down by category and, where available, by EU delegation or dignitary.
