1. Any records acknowledging or discussing instances where Irish citizens in EU Member States appear to be disadvantaged compared with UK, US, Australian, Canadian, or New Zealand nationals in access to employment, housing, or services, despite Irish citizens’ full Freedom of Movement rights under EU law. 2. Any records of steps taken or considered by DFA to counter discrimination against Irish citizens in favour of anglophone third-country nationals in EU Member States. 3. Any records of planning or strategy by DFA addressing the post-Brexit reality that UK and US nationals often work informally throughout the Schengen area while Irish EU citizens face systematic barriers to lawful employment, including any assessment of how visa waiver arrangements may disadvantage Irish citizens in EU labour markets. This request seeks to establish what recognition exists within DFA of the practical hierarchy whereby Irish EU citizenship appears to rank below certain non-EU nationalities, and what counter-measures, if any, have been considered or implemented.
