Requester sought records relating to collaborations between TU Dublin and entities from the People’s Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as China; excluding Hong Kong and Macau; “Chinese entities” are defined as entities with a registered address or primarily operating in China) that the University had between January 1, 2010, and December 31, 2023. Please include records for the following: - 1) Records of formal cooperation agreements and memoranda (MoUs) existing between TU Dublin, its constituent institutions and Chinese entities. 2) Please provide the name of the Chinese entity, duration of the collaboration, type of cooperation (e.g. Strategic Agreement or student progression agreement), cooperation areas (field of study), financial incomes provided by the entity, and contractual documents on which the cooperation is based. 3) Records of Confucius Institutes established or co-funded by the University, its constituent institutions and Chinese entities. Please provide the name of the Chinese entity, duration of the collaboration, financial incomes provided by the entity, and contractual documents on which the cooperation is based. 4) Records of student exchanges and summer school programmes existing between TU Dublin, its constituent institutions and Chinese entities. Please provide the name of the Chinese entity, duration of the programmes, study areas, financial incomes provided by the entity, and contractual documents on which the cooperation is based. 5) Records of academic and faculty exchange programmes existing between TU Dublin, its constituent institutions and Chinese entities. Please provide the name of the Chinese entity, duration of the programmes, type of the programme (e.g. visiting PhD students or visiting scholars), cooperation areas (field of study), financial incomes provided by the entity, and contractual documents on which the cooperation is based. 6) Records of joint research projects and joint research centres established or co-funded by TU Dublin, its constituent institutions and Chinese entities. Please provide the name of the Chinese entity, duration of the collaboration, project description (e.g. project title or the name of the centre), cooperation areas (field of study), financial incomes provided by the entity, and contractual documents on which the cooperation is based.
