I understand 70 joint inspections of dog breeding establishments have been carried according to an agreed protocol out under the Animal Welfare Act 2013 and the Dog Breeding Establishment Act 2010. I wish to request under FOI copies of all reports on inspections of dog breeding establishments held by the Department and which were carried under the above protocol out since January 1 2014. Plus, could I request any internal documents held by the Department’s animal welfare section that relate to conditions in dog breeding establishments from January 1 to date. The second part of my request is for copies of all reports of audits conducted by or on behalf of the Department in 2014 to date of animal welfare groups that received funding from the Department. Copies of follow up correspondence both internal and with the relevant organisations generated by the audits.
