I would like to request information on the costs incurred by the council in carrying out the process of purchasing the property, particularly the cost inspection/valuation/survey, legal fees and any other 3rd party costs. If this information is protected, I would alternatively request an estimate of the average cost associated with carrying out tenant-in-situ purchase in 2024, i’m strictly referring to third party, admin costs, legal fees, inspection or survey fees, not the price of property. I would also like to request a statement on why the process was halted at such a late stage, when fundamental facts about the house being oversized for 2 people, were known before the process. I would also like to know who were the key decision makers in this process. I would also like information on how many purchases under the tenant-in-situ scheme have progressed to survey/valuation/inspection stage in 2024.
