• All Codes of Practice and/or Guidelines touching upon or concerning the sale of aggregates for use in construction products created on foot of Statutory Instrument SI No 225 of 2013, Schedule 2 identifying Geological Survey of Ireland as a Competent National Authority in Aggregates. • All Reports prepared by the GSI, on foot of Statutory Instrument SI No 225 of 2013, Schedule 2 identifying Geological Survey of Ireland as a Competent National Authority in Aggregates. • All direction or advice given by GSI to any/all stakeholders in Counties Wexford, Kilkenny, Carlow and Wicklow on foot of Statutory Instrument SI No 225 of 2013, Schedule 2 identifying Geological Survey of Ireland as a Competent National Authority in Aggregates. • All enquiries made, reports or advice given on foot of such enquiries, or reports made or advice given generally to any other stakeholder in Ireland touching upon or concerning use of Rhyolite or Alkali Silica Reaction in Ireland since 1990. • Copies of any and all advices provided to Planning Authorities located within the named Counties above in respect of Planning Applications for Quarries and or Concrete and other Concrete or Construction related Products for use by Consumers, Local Authorities and Contractors. • Copies of any and all correspondence exchanged between GSI and the Market Surveillance Units located on the foregoing Counties in respect of all Construction Related Products. • GSI are identified in “Quarries and Ancillary Activities – Guidelines for Planning Authorities April 2004” published by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, please provide all associated correspondence between GSI and the named Local Authorities above in respect of the GSI role under these Guidelines and the planning awards since 2004 for Quarries etc in these Counties. Please provide photocopies of the documents requested and confirm when available for collecting. The information sought is of particular assistance to the understanding of an issue of national importance, namely the nationwide scandal of supply of concrete products that are not fit for purpose to consumers and the failure of stakeholders to ensure such practices are discontinued and the failure of Local Authorities and GSI to implement their obligations under the Construction Products Regulations 2013 in a constructive and timely manner. Hence all costs must be waived.
