To obtain details regarding representations related to nuclear energy over the past two years. Specifically, I seek access to: 1. A list of all meetings, communications or engagements between the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment and lobbying organisations, industry representatives or non-governmental organisations advocating for or against nuclear energy and/or smaller modular reactors (SMRs). 2. To provide copies of any reports, memos, briefing documents, or correspondence from January 2022 to the present that discuss current or potential future changes to government policy regarding nuclear energy, particularly in the context of the ongoing energy crisis and national climate targets. This includes consideration of adopting, expanding, or revising the role of nuclear power in Ireland’s energy strategy. Specifically, I’m interested in communication with internal bodies/organisations – lobbying or representations or otherwise. 3. Any assessments, analyses or recommendations made by third-party organisations concerning nuclear energy and/or smaller modular reactors (SMRs).
