Galway County Council Re: My request pertains to the use of quarry QSP33, Ballynahallia, Moycullen to supply rock and gravel to the road-widening scheme at Moycullen from July 2015 to January 2016; Several dash cam video recordings from this period show trucks leaving QSP33 to supply the Moycullen road widening works. 1) What policy does Galway County Council have on the supply of quarry material for public works from sites that are in breach of planning and environmental conditions of the local authority or Bord Pleanala? (I request this under FOI as it appears not to be publicly available). 2) Please supply the quotation document that was issued to prospective suppliers of rock and gravel for the Moycullen road-widening scheme? 3) Were assurances sought from prospective suppliers that materials must be sourced from sites that had planning permission and had compiled with planning and environment conditions of the local authority or Bord Pleanala? 4) Were X the suppliers of rock and gravel for the Moycullen road-widening scheme during the period July 2015 to January 2016? 5) If not X, please indicate which supplier was used? Was the council aware that excavated materials were being supplied from QSP33? 6) Bord Pleanala issued a decision ordering the cessation of excavation at QSP33 on June 30th. Excavation continued, including blasts on August 18th, 2015 and January 20th, 2016. Were X beneficiaries of public monies during the period July 2015 to January 2016?
